Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Washington Athletics Baseball & Softball website (washingtonas.com) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only.

Who we are
Washington Athletics Baseball & Softball (“the A’s,” “we,” “us”) is a select youth baseball and fastpitch organization serving the Puget Sound area. Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@washingtonas.com.
Information you give us
Contact form and email. When you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and to run our program. Contact form messages are delivered to our staff by email.
Registration, tryouts and payments. Player registration, tryout sign-ups and payments are handled by our registration provider on its own website (for example, members.washingtonas.com and teamsportsadmin.com), not on this site. Information you enter there, such as birth dates, guardian contact details and payment information, is collected under that provider’s privacy policy. We use registration information to run our teams and never publish guardian contact details, birth dates or payment information on this website.
Team gear. Our team store is run by an outside retailer. Purchases there are covered by that retailer’s privacy policy.
Player and coach information we publish
Team pages list the players and coaches on each team, using information families provide during registration.
- 13U and older teams: player name, jersey number, position, bats/throws, graduation year, school or school district, and, when a family shares it, hometown and college commitment.
- 12U and younger teams, and our youngest fastpitch team: first name and jersey number only.
- Coaches: name and role, and an email address or short bio only if the coach agrees.
We do not publish player photos, birth dates, addresses, phone numbers or guardian information. Parents and guardians can ask us at any time to show their child by first name only, correct any detail, or remove their child from our website by emailing contact@washingtonas.com. We’ll make the change promptly.
Our alumni and records pages list former players’ names, schools, colleges and achievements. Former players or their families can ask us to update or remove an entry the same way.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our web host records basic technical information when pages are requested, such as IP address, browser type and the pages visited, to keep the site running and secure. We do not use this information to identify individual visitors.
Cookies. Our own site uses few cookies. Some embedded services listed below may set their own cookies. When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you choose which optional cookies to allow, and you can change your choice at any time. Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies in use and what they do.
Services from other companies
Some features on our pages are provided by other companies. When your browser loads them, those companies may receive technical information such as your IP address, under their own privacy policies:
- Google: web fonts and the maps on our Facility page.
- Meta (Instagram and Facebook): the social media feeds on our homepage.
- GameChanger: our team schedules come from GameChanger. Our website retrieves schedule details on its own, so visiting a schedule page does not send your information to GameChanger. If you use the “Add to your calendar” buttons, your calendar app connects to GameChanger directly.
We may also use service providers to operate this website, such as our web host and email delivery service. They handle information only on our behalf.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own advertising. We share information only with the service providers who help us run the website and our program, when required by law, or to protect the safety of our players, families and staff.
Children’s privacy
This website is intended for parents, guardians, players and fans. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through this website. Player information comes from parents and guardians during registration. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep information
We keep contact messages as long as needed to respond and for our normal records. Roster information stays on the website while a player is on a current team, and older rosters are removed at the end of each season. Alumni and records pages are kept as part of our program history unless a family asks us to change them.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we handle, including secure (HTTPS) connections for this website. No website or email system is completely secure, so please don’t send sensitive information such as payment details through our contact form.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you or your child by emailing contact@washingtonas.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy laws, and we will honor requests as those laws require. You can manage cookie choices at any time through the cookie settings on this website.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
