The 18u’s finished their 2015 season yesterday setting the program’s win record with 30 (30-17 overall record) along with setting 11 individual hitting and pitching records and tying 2 out of the 15 categories we track.
Dax Kringle led the pack this season and broke 4 records. He finished with a record breaking batting average of .414, 63 hits, 47 RBI’s, and 15 2B’s and he finished 2nd overall in Slugging (.579).
Kollin Malsam broke 3 records with Slugging (.629), Runs (47), and 3B’s (9) and tied the HR record with 3. He also finished 2nd overall in AVG (.386), OBP (.478), and RBI’s (29)
Max Escarda broke the saves record (5) and tied 2 records with HR (3) and Pitching Appearances (13).
Collin Anderson broke the strikeout record with 57 and finished second overall in WHIP (1.13).
Alex Robichaux broke 2 records with WHIP (1.08) and Wins (8).
Connor Knutson finished 2nd overall in Hits (54) and Runs (33).
Zakk Weber tied for 2nd overall in Wins (6).
Jack Simpson also tied for the record in pitching appearances with 13.
2015 was a huge year in terms of performance and development at the 18u level for the Washington A’s and this sets the stage for continued growth, recruitment, and improvement next year.
