16u Roster Announced

The Washington A’s Director, Kyle Larsen , announced the 15u Roster today.

16u Manager Skip Hulet had this to say about his team –

“I am excited to get the 16u Washington A’s season under way. We have a great crop of good athletes who have the potential to make a big impact in our region. With the proper off-season training and care, a productive high school season by all, and an injury free spring, these boys will bring speed, power and fearlessness to the diamond.”

“We have a healthy amount of team speed so expect the wheels to be in motion when you come to see us play. Matt Kvech (inf, p), James Merrill (cf), Samir Kharoufeh (rf, 2b), and Willy Rayl (c, util) can all cook around the base paths. Backing up speed with contact hitting will be Jeffrey Baker (2b, ss), Alex Carter (lf), Jack O’Donnell (1b, c), Jaden Mongauzy (3b, p), and Brady Brickman (p, c, 3b). The 16s have a good couple of power hitters as well in Daniel Lew (1b, p), and Brandon Whiteley (3b, p), And last but certainly not least is the all important pitching staff. Ryan young, Brad Barrett and Riley Grauer will all have primary duties on the hill and they all can fill position player rolls if needed. But the staff is not complete without Brickman, Whiteley, Mongauzy, Kharoufeh, Kvech, and Lew. As you can see, with nine players who can pitch, we will not be hurting for arms and our arms will not be hurting!”

“This is bound to be an exciting team to watch, so we hope to see you at the yard! But be prepared for a team that is going to pressure the plate on offense and protect the plate on defense, that is going to have a sound, goal oriented approach, and that is going to back up fundamental defense with a fearless approach to taking calculated risks and just playing hard-nosed baseball.”

The roster will be updated soon with player photos and bios once the information comes in. Stay updated and bookmark the 16u Roster
